Michael Bugalski is Moberly’s new city manager.

The Moberly City Council passed an ordinance on Tuesday appointing Bugalski as the city manager, according to a Wednesday release. Moberly began searching for a new city manager after Brian Crane became Jefferson City’s city administrator in August.

“Moberly is a special place with so many positive and exciting initiatives in the works,” Bugalski said in the release. “It is a privilege to join the team, and work alongside our outstanding City Staff for the betterment of our community. I am looking forward to getting started and filled with enthusiasm for the future of Moberly.”

Bugalski’s first day is Friday, March 1, according to the release.

“We believe the city is in good hands going forward and look forward to working with our new City Manager,” Mayor Tim Brubaker said in the release.
