Reported vandalism causes NECAC to change food box availability

MOBERLY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The North East Community Action Corp in Moberly will be scaling back the availability of a “Feed Your Neighbors” food box, due to vandalism, according to a Tuesday press release.

According to the release, NECAC installed the box in 2021 outside its Randolph County Service Center at 1903 North Morely in Moberly. Food may not be available on some nights or weekends, the release states. Contributions will be accepted 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday at the service center, the release states.

The release states that vandalism began about five months ago and has gotten worse since it started. Items are dumped or destroyed, usually during weeknights, the release states.
