COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 61-year-old truck driver from Golden Valley, Arizona, was killed in a crash Wednesday on Highway 156 in Macon County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report says that the driver of the 2023 Freightliner overcorrected after it went off the right side of the road while going eastbound on the highway. The truck then went off the left side of the road and overturned, the report says. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the Macon County coroner, the report says.

MSHP reports do not name the victims in crashes. The report says the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.

The truck was totaled.
