Missouri has a new governor.
Republican Mike Kehoe, formerly the lieutenant governor and a state senator before that, was sworn in as the state's 58th governor on Monday. He was joined by a slate of Republican statewide officials in taking the oath of office.
Kehoe took executive actions on his first day focused on fighting crime. He has also pledged to improve school choice and slash taxes.
