Morgan County man drowns at Truman Lake

A man from Gravois Mills drowned on Monday at 7:29 p.m. in Truman Lake near the Shawnee Bend.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sklyer R Lewis, 31, died after he walked into the lake without a life jacket.

Troopers said he was trying to free a snagged net when he drowned.
