DOC deputy director announces retirement

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri Department of Corrections Deputy Director Matt Sturm will be retiring this month, according to an email from a DOC spokesperson.

Sturm has served in the deputy director role since 2017 and has been with the DOC for nearly 30 years.

Sturm isn’t the only immediate retiree in the department. DOC Director Anne Precythe's retirement was announced on Wednesday. Her last day will be Dec. 5.
