QUESTION OF THE DAY: Will Missouri’s gas tax increase be worth it?

Gov. Mike Parson on Tuesday held ceremonial signings across the state of a law that will increase Missouri's gas tax by 12.5 cents over five years.

Parson and the state legislators who approved the increase say it will provide critical funding for Missouri's transportation needs. However, voters have rejected multiple gas tax increases and some say the proposal should have been put on the ballot.
