6-year-old seriously injured after Tuesday afternoon incident in Vandalia

VANADLIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A child is injured after a vehicle backed out and hit the child at the Vandalia Fairgrounds Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, a child was hiding under a 2008 Ford F-150 when it backed out and hit the child.

The child was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by air.

The child is reported to be in serious condition.
