The Monroe County Sheriff's Department asked for help Tuesday to find a missing 84-year-old man with dementia.

Authorities are looking for Hansil Dean Hartle, a white man about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with gray and white hair and blue eyes, according to an Endangered Silver Advisory issued Tuesday.

Hartle was last seen wearing a red and white shirt, a blue St. Louis Cardinals coat and blue jeans. He left his home at 39020 Monroe County Road 556 in Stoutsville at about 5 a.m. Tuesday.

He was in a dark blue 2017 Ford Explorer with license plate No. RA3B8J. A license plate reader last detected the vehicle in Maplewood, Missouri, at about 2 p.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
