BOONVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said in a Monday night press release that an endangered silver alert has been canceled after a Boonville man with Alzheimer’s was found safe.

MSHP initially said in a Monday night press release tha the Cooper County Sheriff's Office issued a silver advisory for Gary Goodpaster, 76.

MSHP said in the release that Goodpaster left his residence on Kimber Ridge Court at 7:20 p.m. Monday, walked eastbound towards Highway 179.

The initial alert was sent at 9:43 p.m. and was canceled at 10:25 p.m.
