MONTREAL, Mo. (KMIZ0

On Wednesday, human remains were reportedly found in Camden County according to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office.

Law enforcement from three agencies responded to an area in Lake of the Ozarks State Park near McCubbins Point where they located human remains.

Officials say the human remains appear to be those of Tanner Elmore, 36, of Montreal who went missing from Camdenton on June 7. Due to the advanced decomposition of the remains, positive identification is impossible without further investigation.

Officials notified Elmore’s family of the remains being found. However, Camden County Sheriff's Office will continue to investigate other leads in Elmore’s disappearance pending the results of an autopsy and DNA comparison with known family members.
