Authorities cancel search for Osage Beach man reported missing Tuesday afternoon

OSAGE BEACH, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE: The highway patrol canceled the advisory Tuesday morning saying the man was found safe with family members.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri State Highway Patrol sent out an Endangered Silver Advisory early Wednesday morning about an Osage Beach man who was reported missing Tuesday afternoon.

The release said authorities were looking for 65-year-old William Bates. He was reported missing from a residence in the 6500 block of Laguna Road in Osage Beach at noon.

Authorities say Bates is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue jean jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on Bates' whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Camden County Sheriff's Department at 573-346-2243.
