HOWARD COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

UPDATE 12:05 P.M.: The highway patrol canceled its endangered person advisory for a missing Howard County child after she was found.

The announcement sent just after noon said 12-year-old Ashya Hampton was located safely.

It wasn't immediately available when or where she was found.

The Boonville Police Department has also confirmed no one has been taken into custody as of yet.

ORIGINAL: The Howard County Sheriff’s Department issued an endangered person advisory for a 12-year-old Tuesday.

The sheriff’s department said Ashya Hampton, 12, was last seen in the 4000 block of Highway 5 in New Franklin around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a news release, Hampton is with a 30-year-old male and was last seen wearing gray shorts with sandals.

Hampton is 5 feet 7 inches tall with dark brown curly hair, hazel eyes and a light complexion.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Howard County Sheriff’s Department.
