One teen dead after crash in Miller County Friday night

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 16-year-old boy from Brumley died and three others are injured after a single-car crash in Miller County on River Road Friday night, according the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Four teenagers, one 15-year-old girl from Eldon, two 16-year-old boys one from Brumley and one from Lake Ozark, and a 17-year-old boy from Lake Ozark were involved in the wreck. They were heading east on River Road before Osage River Bridge Road when the 2005 Acura TL ran off the road, hit a tree and flipped over at about 9:50 p.m.

All passengers and the driver were taken to Lake Regional. The 16-year-old boy driver was pronounced dead at the hospital at 10:51 p.m. Friday. He was wearing a seatbelt, according to the crash report.

The girl has minor injuries, while the other two boys in the car have serious injuries. The car the teens were in was totaled and towed from the scene.

This is Troop F's fourth fatality for February and sixth of 2024.
