Retired Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott has passed away

MILLER COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Retired Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott passed away today from COVID-19 according to Osage County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

Sheriff Abbott spent more than 16 years of service to Miller County residents since his appointment to the office in April 1999.

Abbott retired from the department in Dec. 2016.
