Little Dixie Fire Protection District battalion chief dies

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Little Dixie Fire Protection District announced on its social media on Thursday evening that Battalion Chief John Loveless has died.

LDFPD – based in Mexico, Missouri – wrote that Loveless died from cancer. He served LDFPD during the past five years. Funeral arrangements are pending.

The post states that he was also a training officer. The Audrain County Sheriff’s Office wrote that Loveless was previous an investigator for the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office. The sheriff’s office gave condolences to Loveless’ family in its post.
