Two people rescued from flooded bridge in Rolla

ROLLA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Water rescue crews saved two people from a flooded bridge in Rolla on Friday night.

It happened around 9 p.m. on a low water bridge on Missouri County Road 527.

According to a Facebook post from the Maries County Sheriff's Office, the truck got stuck on the bridge when trying to cross through it.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Water Patrol responded Friday with help from the Maries County Sheriff's Office, the Rolla City Fire Department Water Rescue Team and Vichy Fire.

Officials say whenever you approach water on a roadway - turn around, don't drown.
