Three injured in Maries County crash

MARIES COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Three people were injured – one seriously – in a two-vehicle crash Friday on Highway 42 in Maries County, west of Highway 133, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report states the crash occurred at 7:10 a.m. as a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer – driven by Duane Woody, 20, of Neosho – was heading eastbound on Highway 42, went over the center line and hit a 2012 GMC Sierra head-on.

The GMC was driven by Scott Jones, 63, of De Soto, Missouri. The report states the vehicle was hauling a boat and trailer, which were transported by Fast Lane. Both vehicles were totaled.

Woody suffered serious injuries and was brought to Capitol Region Medical Center in Jefferson City by ambulance, the report states. Jones and his passenger – Dale Jones, 71, of Pevely – suffered minor injuries and were brought to Phelps Health in Rolla by ambulance, the report states. Everyone was wearing seatbelts, according to the report.
