Man drowns Sunday in North Fork River in Ozark County

OZARK COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A man is dead after drowning at North Fork River in Ozark County on Sunday morning.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol drowning report, 71-year-old Richard D. Brasington of St. Louis, was fishing and had been wading in the river before drowning.

The Ozark County Coroner pronounced Brasington dead around 2:15 Sunday afternoon according to the trooper's drowning report. Brasington's next of kin was also notified.

Missouri State Highway Patrol says Brasington's drowning is the 4th drowning in Troop G for 2023 compared to zero at this point in time in 2022.
