House total loss after Thanksgiving fire at Lake of the Ozarks

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. (KMIZ)

A house is a complete loss after a fire late on Thanksgiving day at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Lake Ozark Fire Protection District responded to the fire just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Firefighters put out the fire and searched the house. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

However, fire crews were called back to the scene around 3:30 in the morning after wind rekindled the flames, according to a news release. This secondary fire destroyed the house.
