Body of Chicago man recovered from Lake of the Ozarks

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers say the body of a Chicago man who went missing after jumping into the Lake of the Ozarks was found Monday morning.

Kendall Henderson, 30, went missing after jumping off a dock to swim at about 8 p.m. Sunday at the 20-mile mark of the main channel, the patrol said in a tweet. Henderson's body was found Monday morning.

The drowning was the first of the year at the lake, according to the patrol's online reports.

Henderson failed to resurface after struggling in the water Sunday night. The Camden County Medical Examiner pronounced him dead a little before 10 a.m. Monday, according to a patrol report.
