A 31-year-old woman from Chicago was seriously injured in a crash involving a jet ski and a boat at the Lake of the Ozarks.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol crash reports, the crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the Osage Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks in Camden County.

Troopers said Ahdonnashay Babajas was driving a 2019 Yamaha PWC when the WaveRunner crashed with a 2006 Sea Ray boat. The crash report said the vessels were in the same area when both of them "failed to take evasive action to avoid striking each other."

Lake Ozark fire crews transported Babajas to Lake Regional Hospital with serious injuries.

Troopers said Babajas was wearing a life vest at the time of the crash.
