Two people injured in crash at Lake of the Ozarks

CAMDEN COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people from Kirskville were injured after they crashed into each other at the Lake of the Ozarks on Friday morning.

It happened around 11:40 a.m. near the 22 mile mark in the main channel.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, two people were jumping wakes on 2020 Yamahas when they collided.

Troopers said Chauncey Potter, 17, suffered minor injuries and Tony Miller, 28, suffered moderate injuries.

Miller was taken to a hospital by ambulance, according to the report.

Online reports show Troop F has responded to seven incidents at the lake so far in August. A total of eight people were injured and one person was killed.

That number is down from July, when Troop F responded to 14 incidents at the Lake of the Ozarks. A total of 19 people were injured and one was killed.
