LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. (KMIZ)

State troopers say a Holts Summit man was seriously hurt after a jet ski crash at the Lake of the Ozarks on Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F crash report said 24-year-old Charles Phelps was injured in the crash.

According to the crash report, Phelps was operating a 1998 Arctic Jet Ski and another man, 25-year-old Tyler Crocker, also of Holts Summit, was operating a 1992 Wellcraft Runabout in the Downing Branch Cove of the lake around 5:30 p.m.

Troopers said Phelps crossed into Crocker's path and the pair crashed. The report included both were "opertaing in a careless and imprudent manner."

The report said Phelps was flown to University of Missouri Hospital. No others were hurt in the incident, troopers said. Hospital spokeswoman Jesslyn Chew said Tuesday afternoon Phelps was in fair condition.
