Utility work requires lane closure for Downtown Jefferson City street

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A lane closure will be required Wednesday and Thursday on a Downtown Jefferson City street as crews make utility repairs.

A Monday press release from the Jefferson City Department of Public Works says that a lane closure will occur in the eastbound lane in the 300 block of West McCarty Street.

Work begins at 7 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Thursday.

Road signs will be posted and drivers are asked to avoid the area, the release says.
