JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Jefferson City resident found a military mortar shell in their yard while they were doing yard work on Sunday morning.

According to a press release from the Jefferson City Police Department, police received a call at 9:44 a.m. Sunday from a resident in the 1100 block of East High Street about a military mortar that was in their yard.
