Phones, internet down at Jefferson City Schools

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

People might have a hard time getting in touch with Jefferson City School District buildings and workers temporarily.

JC Schools said Wednesday in a Facebook post that an Ameren outage contributed to the phones and internet not working. The post tells parents to email communications@jcschools.us if they need to reach their students' schools "and we will do our best to get your message to the appropriate school. Please include your name, your student's name & school, and your cell phone number, and someone from the school will be in touch soon."

The district wrote that the phone and internet could be down for the rest of the day.
