Two injured in crash on Jefferson City Tri-Level

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two people were hurt when their car was rear-ended on Jefferson City's Tri-Level interchange Tuesday morning.

The crash happened a little before 8 a.m., the Jefferson City Police Department says. John Maier, 23, of Jefferson City was exiting onto the Tri-Level from Highway 50 when he hit a car driven by Alivia Griggs, 30, of California, Missouri.

Griggs and her passenger, Alyssa Stafford of California, suffered moderate injuries in the crash, police say. They were both wearing seat belts. They were taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Maier was not hurt.

Police had to restrict traffic briefly after the crash.
