Director of Jefferson City Parks, Recreation and Forestry placed on unpaid leave

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City's Parks, Recreation and Forestry director has been placed on leave without pay.

City records show the Parks and Recreation Commission put Todd Spalding on leave. The group voted 7-0 in a closed meeting on Thursday.

Spalding will stay on leave until Oct. 7, and can only return after completing a performance improvement program.

Aaron Grefrath will serve as interim director.
