Jefferson City firefighters extinguish roof fire

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Fire Department put out a fire on the roof of a business Thursday morning.

According to a news release, the call came in just before 8 a.m. Firefighters went to a business in the 1400 block of Southridge Avenue and found smoke coming from the roof.

Fire officials said the fire was kept to a small area of the roof and attic. It was determined to be an electrical fire.

According to the release, the business was not displaced by the fire.

A total of 15 people responded to the scene, along with an ambulance from Cole County EMS.
