Inmate dies at Jefferson City Correctional Center

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Missouri Department of Corrections announced in a press release that one of its inmates died Wednesday at the Jefferson City Correctional Center.

James Shinneman died. He was 42. He was serving three years for third-degree domestic assault, two counts of failure to register as a sex offender while residing within 1,000 feet of a school, according to the release.

He was in the DOC’s custody on Aug. 24, 2022.
