Three hurt in Jefferson City crash

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Three people were hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Jefferson City on Friday.

The crash happened at about 8 a.m. at Southwest Boulevard and Route C, according to a Jefferson City Police Department news release, when a Hyundai Accent turned into the path of a Jeep Cherokee SUV. The Hyundai overturned onto the SUV and hit another car that was stopped at the intersection, police said.

The Hyundai driver, Yasmine Bulson, 18, of Fulton, and the passenger, Rebecca Matajac, 38, of Bland, suffered moderate injuries, police said. A private vehicle took them to a hospital.

Taryn Henderson, 37, of Jefferson City, was driving the SUV and also suffered moderate injuries but was treated at the scene and released, police said. The driver of the third vehicle involved in the crash was not hurt.

The Hyundai and the Jeep had to be towed away. Traffic was detoured around the scene for about 30 minutes.
