Red, White and Boom fireworks show to end Salute to America celebration in Jefferson City

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Salute to America is set to continue in Jefferson City on Monday, as Missourians celebrate the Fourth of July.

Events at Salute to America are expected to end at 10 p.m.

Events include:

  • Kids Zone (11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.)
  • Food Court (11:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.)
  • Capitol Main Stage Concert (6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.)

Attendees can visit Salute to America's website, for a full list of events taking place on Monday.

Events Monday are then set to be capped off by the Red, White and Boom fireworks show, which is set to begin at 9:45 p.m.

Due to the Salute to America celebrations, multiple streets will be closed around the capitol. These include:

  • East High Street from Monroe to Broadway
  • Capitol Avenue from Main Street to Adams Street
  • Madison Street from Wall Way Alley to State Street
  • Washington from Wall Way to West High
  • Circle Drive around the Capitol Building

Salute to America officials are reminding attendees that there will be free parking at all state and city lots, as well as other free parking available.
