Grease fire closes Jefferson City Arby’s

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

An Arby's restaurant in Jefferson City was temporarily closed Thursday after a grease fire, the Jefferson City Fire Department said.

Firefighters were sent to the restaurant at 2815 S. Ten Mile Drive on Thursday morning for a fryer on fire, according to a news release. The restaurant was evacuated and firefighters put out the blaze with a fire extinguisher.

The fire did not spread and firefighters found no other damage, according to the release. No one was hurt, but the business will be closed for cleanup and inspection, the fire department said.
