Two injured after crash in Jefferson City last night

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Jefferson City Police Department say two are injured after a crash allegedly involving alcohol and narcotics early Sunday morning.

According to police, around 12:40 Sunday morning, officers responded o a crash at the 1100 block of Madison Street. 

Officers say the investigation revealed a car driven by Clint Ferguson, 29, was heading southbound in the area and ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a parked car.

Furguson and his passenger Jarissa Dickson, 26, were transported to a hospital in Columbia treatment for their injuries.  Ferguson received serious injures, while Dickson received moderate injuries. Police say alcohol and narcotic use contributed to the crash.  

Both vehicles were towed due to damage.  The roadway was closed for about one hour while the scene was investigated by police.

Both cars were totaled after the crash.
