Lincoln University raises annual fundraising goal after surpassing the previous goal
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
Lincoln University announced Thursday that the school surpassed its annual campaign funding goal within the first half of the fiscal year.
An LU spokesperson said the school planned to raise $1.2 million by June 30, 2020. The campaign, which started July 1, 2019, has already raised $1.7 million months before the deadline.
School officials raised the funding goal to $2.2 million. Andre Grinston, LU vice president for institutional advancement and alumni relations, said the fundraised marks the most money given since 2014.
"We are excited to have not only met our and exceeded our original goal, but also have raised more funds than in any previous annual fundraising efforts," Grinston said.
The campaign is raising money for scholarships and other initiatives operated by the university.
