JCPD: ‘No updates’ in Rolling Hills Drive homicide case

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The investigation into a deadly shooting in Jefferson City continued Friday with police releasing few details about the case.

ABC 17 News spoke with Jefferson City Police Department Lt. David Williams on Friday afternoon about the homicide.

"This is still an open investigation and there are a lot of things happening," said Williams. "So, I'm not going to disclose whether or not we have someone of interest."

Williams said the department has notified the victim's next of kin but he declined to release the victim's name.

JCPD responded to the 1900 block of Rolling Hills Drive at 3:20 a.m. Thursday after receiving reports of a shooting victim.

Investigators said the victim was found dead from gunshot wounds.
