Death investigation underway at Jefferson City bar

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City police confirmed Friday that an investigation is being conducted at a downtown bar.

The Jefferson City Police Department received a call regarding a "deceased person" about 10 minutes before midnight Thursday at The Mission bar at 915 E. High St.

ABC 17 News contacted the department for more information about what led up to the death and whether or not foul play is suspected.

JCPD Lt. David Williams said the investigation will determine whether a crime was committed.
