Fayette man in critical condition after motorcycle crash Monday

HOWARD COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A University of Missouri Hospital spokesman said a Fayette man was in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Howard County on Monday afternoon.

A Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report said 57-year-old Larry Koenig was hurt in the crash on Highway 5 south of County Road 423 just before 4 p.m.

The crash report said Koenig traveled off the right side of the road, returned to the road and overturned. Troopers said he was thrown from his motorcycle.

Troopers said Koenig was flown to the hospital after the crash. The crash report shows he had serious injuries from the wreck.

University Hospital spokesman Eric Maze said Koenig was in critical condition Tuesday morning.

Howard County deputies assisted troopers in the incident. According to the crash report, no other people were involved in the wreck.
