President Joe Biden on Monday touted a provision of his Build Back Better plan that would cap prices on insulin, which is considered a vital medication for millions of Americans. However, the pharmaceutical industry opposes any price caps, saying they'll cut into revenue and dampen innovation.

  1. Government issued price controls don’t work, and they never have. Quite often generating more of the exact thing they suppose to stop. If a limit is placed on insulin prices, the effect is likely a shortage of insulin. Why would Pharma make more of a thing they are forced to reduce or eliminate profits on?

  2. I would agree that insulin prices have increased well beyond any rhyme or reason, but I suspect government is more likely a cause than a solution.
