COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Four people and two pets were displaced after a house in the 100 block of Bolton Drive in Jefferson City caught fire Friday morning, according to a press release from the Jefferson City Fire Department.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, the release says.

The release says “the initial call described electrical issues within the home, but after receiving additional information from the occupant, the call was upgraded to a structure fire shortly before the first fire unit arrived.”

Crews saw the fire in the attic that had spread and was venting through the roof, the release says.
