One person was injured after a vehicle caught fire Monday evening in the parking lot of the Walmart on Grindstone Parkway in Columbia.

A Columbia Fire Department battalion chief at the scene said that one person was brought to an area hospital with minor burn injuries. A cause for the fire has not yet been determined.

Columbia firefighters put the fire on a white SUV within five minutes, officials said. Smoke was coming from the vehicle’s interior and engine when an ABC 17 News photographer arrived on the scene at 10:45 p.m.
