Firefighter suffers ‘minor injuries’ after fire engulfs Montgomery County home, shed

Several fire agencies responded to a house fire Sunday, Oct. 20, 2024 in Montgomery County.

MONTGEROMY COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Montgomery County firefighter suffered minor injuries while responding to a Sunday fire.

According to the Montgomery County Fire Protection District’s Facebook page, a home was “fully involved, the propane tank had direct impingement from the flames and was popping off.” A shed was also “fully burnt,” the post says. The fire was reported at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire spreading to another large shed, the post says. No one was in the home at the time of the fire.

The post says the injured firefighter was “back to their regular job” on Monday.
