Blair Oaks trailer catches fire

WARDSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Blair Oaks R-2 School District trailer caught fire on Wednesday, according to information from the Osage Fire Protection District.

According to a Facebook post from the fire protection district, crews were dispatched to a “double-wide modular structure” in the 6200 block of Route B in Cole County and saw smoke coming out of vents from the roof.

Firefighters quickly located a fire in the ceiling of the structure and extinguished it, quickly, according to the post. There was no one in the building at the time and no injuries were reported, the post states. The cause of the fire and estimated damage have not been determined. Smoke damage was seen throughout the trailer, according to the post.

Crews left the area by 6 p.m., the post reads.

The fire protection district stated in the post that “there should be no disruption to student learning.”
