No injuries reported in semi-truck fire off of I-70

Heavy smoke could be seen coming from a tractor trailer that caught fire Monday evening off at the Interstate 70 off ramp to Route J in Boone County.

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries have been reported after a semi-truck caught fire at the Route J off-ramp of westbound Interstate 70 on Monday, according to Boone County Fire officials.

The ramp is currently closed, according to Boone County Fire Protection District Assistant Fire Chief Gayle Blomenkamp. The estimated time for the closure was not immediately available.

There was heavy damage to tractor trailer, according to Blomenkamp.
