Lake Ozark firefighter injured in house fire Saturday night

LAKE OF THE OZARKS, Mo. (KMIZ)

One Lake Ozark firefighter was taken to the hospital with injuries after fighting a house fire Saturday evening.

Just after 5:30 Saturday night, Lake Ozark Fire Protection District responded to a house fire in the 1800 block of Sweetwater Court. According to a news release, the only person injured in the fire was a firefighter. They were taken to Lake Regional Health System with minor injuries.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control within minutes.

Mutual aid from Osage Beach, Sunrise Beach, Rocky Mount, Gravois, Moreau and Mid-County Fire was needed because of the heat and size of the fire.

Lake Ozark Fire has not released the cause of the fire, status of the investigation or amount of damage.
