No injuries in fire that destroyed barn near Harrisburg

A barn was destroyed in a fire near Harrisburg early Friday morning.

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Boone County Fire Protection District said no one was injured in a barn fire early Friday morning.

Fire crews were called to the 7500 block of West Swearingen Road around 4:30 a.m. Friday.

Fire officials told ABC 17 News a barn was fully involved in the fire when they arrived. They said flames were almost on the ground.

The barn was a total loss. Firefighters said in a tweet, the fire caused $25,000 of damage.

According to BCFPD, all units cleared the scene around 6:30 a.m. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental.
