Juvenile treated for burns after northeast Columbia fire

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Columbia Police Department said a juvenile suffered burns in a fire on Quail Drive.

Columbia fire crews responded to the 2600 block of Quail Drive around 2:20 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, firefighters saw smoke coming from the front of the home.

Police evacuated the four-unit apartment building.

An officer with CPD told ABC 17 News crews at the scene that the juvenile was treated by ambulance crews and released.

Officials said they did not yet know the cause of the fire.
