Everyone safe after a kitchen fire in north Columbia

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Everyone got out safe after a kitchen fire at a home just north of Columbia.

Firefighters responded to the fire at a home on north Kent Drive around 7:30.

Officials told an ABC 17 News crew that told no one was home at the time of the fire but two dogs were found safe.

It was put out just before 8 tonight.

No serious damage to the home was reported.
