1,755 MU students to graduate this weekend

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Winter commencement ceremonies for the University of Missouri will occur this weekend and 1,755 students will be awarded their degrees.

According to a press release from the university, of the 1,875 degrees awarded, 1,371 are bachelor’s degrees, 375 are masters and 96 are doctoral. Graduating students this winter come from 42 states and 20 countries, the release says.

Commencement ceremonies will occur Friday and Saturday, according to the school’s website and are scheduled:

Friday

  • College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources: 1 p.m. at the Hearnes Center
  • College of Education and Human Development:  2 p.m. at Jesse Auditorium
  • College of Engineering: 3:30 p.m. at the Hearnes Center
  • Missouri School of Journalism: 4:30 p.m. at Jesse Auditorium
  • Trulaske College of Business: 6 p.m. at the Hearnes Center

Saturday

  • Sinclair School of Nursing: 8:30 a.m. at Jesse Auditorium
  • Honors College: 11 a.m. at Jesse Auditorium
  • Graduate Degrees: Doctoral, Education Specialist, Master’s: Noon the Hearnes Center
  • College of Arts & Science: 3 p.m. at the Hearnes Center
  • College of Health Sciences: 4p.m. at Jesse Auditorium
